Use of the highest grade fibre-optics and components assure that each cable offers optimal performance. Each cable is high temperature xenon compatible, rated to the highest level of thermal resistance and tested to assure the highest light output possible.

Selection of fibre light cables
Each optic coupling point (connection) means a loss of approximately 20% of transmitted light. This loss is converted into heat, which may cause damage to the Endoscope and light cable if the loss is too high.
To minimise the risk of overheating the contact areas, the correct selection of bundle diameter of the fibre light cable is of great importance
To obtain optimum light transmission, the diameter of the fibre core on the telescope has to be equal to that of the light cable. If the light cable is too large in diameter the coupling point of the endoscope becomes extremely hot. This can lead to damage to the endoscope and potentially burn the user. |
